my review of the higher dose infrared sauna blanket

Before I make you wait any longer this is hands down the best wellness purchase I’ve ever made and if you’re on the fence, I’m going to tell you to jump right down and make it happen!! I thought it’d be helpful to share the evolution of my decision:

**I have a pretty painful injury in my ankle that happened when I was 18 so any support in the anti-inflammation department I am always looking for. I went into this with a problem, not just because.

+ read about the benefits of infrared saunas

  • pain relief
  • relaxation
  • detoxification (sweating regularly is really good for you)
  • clearer and tighter skin
  • improved circulation

+ found a studio in denver to try it

It was pretty much within the first time I went to CYL sauna studio in Denver (there are tons of locations across the US!) that I felt how invigorating infrared heat can be. I instantly felt full of energy, cleansed, and my ankle was like… loose? lol in a good way

+ research, research, research

Once I started going to CYL I knew that long term I wanted to find a way to have infrared heat in my home so I could work it into my routine more consistently. It’s not convenient to drive to Cherry Creek (and pay) so I hit the WWW for different options.

The big daddy infrared sauna that you might see in people’s yards (wood, looks like a barrel sometimes) is about $5,000-$7,000 which is a hefty investment and you also have to intend to keep it in that location for a while. I can imagine moving it is similar to the experience of moving a hot tub 🤪

Regardless of the mobile appeal and price points, the Higher Dose products are exactly what I was looking for. They have the big daddy I can work towards in the future, but they also have the Infrared Sauna Blanket that is perfect for me.

I store it in my basement in a little comfy corner with a pillow, but you can fold it up if you live in a smaller space (it just has to cool off first after use).

+ why I like it

It’s pretty obvious the convenience is appealing, but at $599 it made having infrared in my home accessible. Sweat sessions at an in person sauna range but go up to $40+ so this pays itself off pretty quickly.

It’s easy to clean, I use a yoga mat cleaner with a microfiber towel, and it heats up ready to go in 10 minutes.

As far as my own personal benefits, it’s really helping with my ankle. I have also noticed a huge impact on my overall health by being more consistent with the infrared because I am sleeping like a ROCK. I don’t normally have issues sleeping, but I’m really noticing a difference in the quality of my sleep and daily sauna is the only real change I’ve made!

I also STILL know that I want the big daddy one day. This is excellent for now!!
