I’m not gonna lie, I ate this burger in October. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. When I first moved to LA, I had no idea I was about to embark on a such a burger journey there are so many! While I have my go-to spots on the west side, this place is different – it’s a you-should-definitely-go-out-of-your-way kind of burger joint. And trust me, it’s worth the trek.

My husband and I created our “Burger Friday” tradition during covid so yes we will be going out of our way to try new ones. What began as simple In-N-Out drive-thru runs to break up lockdown monotony has evolved into a full-blown adventure, discovering hidden burger gems across Southern California. And this place? It’s at the top of our list until further notice.

For The Win sits in a strip mall behind the Capitol Records building in Hollywood so truly it is nothing special. I’m pretty sure we ordered from a kiosk? They DID have gluten-free buns. and delicious fry sauce.

But the burger… smashed with onions and crispy on the edges just how I like it.
