Dare I say The Win-Dow is the best in the land of angels? To me, at this moment in time it is because this burger is so special to me.

When my husband and I first visited LA to see if we wanted to move here, we took the first (cheapest) flight out of Denver and were on the beach by 8 am. It was actually my 31st birthday, and all I wanted for my bday lunch was to find some street food and hang on the beach with my man.

We happened upon a burger window, selling exactly the kind of burgers we grew up eating with grilled onions and pickles. Even better? They use high-quality organic ingredients while keeping prices surprisingly affordable.

While that original beachfront location is no more, you can still find them in Venice. Fun fact: it’s called The Win-Dow because it’s literally just burgers (and a few other things) being sold from a window during lunch hours at American Beauty, a steak restaurant.

There are now locations throughout LA, so if you’re visiting and looking for something delicious, trust me on this one.
